Chocolate Panna Cotta
This no-fuss chocolate panna cotta is the perfect ending to any meal. Serve turned out of the ramekins or leave them in for an easy dessert.
- Serves: 6 persons
- 1cup milk
- 1(1-ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1 ½cups heavy cream
- ¼cup granulated sugar
- ½teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼teaspoon salt
- 9ounces dark chocolate (chopped)
- Garnish: Whipped cream, fresh fruit
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2In a small bowl combine the milk and gelatin. Allow the gelatin to soften.
Step 3In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Bring to a simmer over low heat.
Step 4Remove from the heat and whisk in the gelatin mixture.
Step 5Stir in the chopped dark chocolate.
Step 6Pour through a fine-mesh sieve into a large glass measuring cup or a bowl with a pour spout.
Step 7Pour mixture evenly into 6 ramekins.
Step 8Chill the panna cotta in the refrigerator for at least 4 to 6 hours prior to serving.
Step 9Top with whipped cream and fresh berries as desired. Enjoy.
