Pan-Grilled Barbecue Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1pound jumbo shrimp, shell-on and deveined
- ¼teaspoon black pepper
- ¾teaspoon salt
- 1tablespoon ketchup
- 1tablespoon brown sugar
- 1tablespoon lemon juice
- 1tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1teaspoon chili powder
- 1teaspoon cumin
- ¼teaspoon allspice
- ¼teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- For Serving:
- Lemon wedges

Rinse and drain shrimp well.Step 3
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, and toss until the sugar is dissolved and the shrimp are coated. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes in the fridge.Step 4
Preheat a skillet over a medium-high flame until hot.Step 5
Add the shrimp and sear for about 3 minutes, until cooked. The shells will get charred and browned, but the meat inside will not, so don't worry about the outside getting too dark as they should look like they were grilled over coals.Step 6
Remove to a plate, and when cool enough to handle, serve warm with lemon wedges.Step 7
