Italian Breadcrumbs
It's easy to buy packaged Italian breadcrumbs in the grocery store, but once you make your own, you might never go back to store-bought version.

Ingredients
- 8ounces crusty Italian bread (day old, or ciabatta)
- 2teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 ½teaspoons dried basil
- 1 ½teaspoons dried oregano
- ½teaspoon garlic powder
- ½teaspoon salt
- ¼teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 250 F.Step 2
Cut the day-old bread into cubes and spread into a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cubes are dry and lightly golden in color.Step 3
Let the bread cubes cool.Step 4
Place the toasted bread in a large food processor. Add the dried parsley, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until fine crumbs form.Step 5
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use in your favorite recipes.
