Creamed Spinach With Parmesan Cheese
This easy creamed spinach is a snap to make with frozen spinach, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and a simple seasoned white sauce.

Ingredients
- 16to 20 ounces frozen chopped spinach (thawed)
- 2tablespoons butter
- 1teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 ½tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1cup milk
- ¼cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Place the thawed spinach in a colander and squeeze it with your hands to remove as much moisture as possible. Set aside.Step 3
In a sauté pan or saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.Step 4
Add the minced garlic and sauté, stirring, until it is softened and aromatic, about 1 minute.Step 5
Add the flour to the butter and garlic and whisk until blended. Cook, whisking, for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the milk and cook, whisking constantly, until thickened.Step 6
Add the spinach and Parmesan cheese and mix gently. Season with the nutmeg, salt, and pepper.Step 7
Stirring constantly, continue cooking over low heat for 5 minutes or until the spinach is tender and hot.Step 8
