Grilled Brown Sugar Bananas
Grilled bananas are delicious, especially with ice cream, and a perfect way to indulge in a decadently sweet dessert made with fruit.
- Serves: 6 persons
- 6large bananas (yellow, firm)
- 2tablespoons lemon juice
- 2teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 ¼cups brown sugar
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat grill for medium-low heat. Without removing the peel, cut each banana in half lengthwise.
Step 3Sprinkle each half banana with lemon juice.
Step 4Combine the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
Step 5Coat the exposed surface of the bananas in the sugar mixture.
Step 6Place the banana halves on a hot oiled grill grate, peel side up. Allow them to cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 7Turn the bananas over and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 8Remove the bananas from the grill and remove them from the peel. Serve with your savory meals or use them as dessert.
