Swedish Nuts Recipe
Swedish nuts is an easy and delicious make-ahead appetizer or snack recipe made with a meringue that coats pecans, baked in butter.

Ingredients
- 1pound pecan halves
- 2egg whites
- 1cup sugar
- ½to 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch salt
- 1teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½cup (4 ounces) unsalted butter

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 F. Beat the egg whites until frothy. Add salt, then sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form; stir in cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. Fold nuts into the meringue. Melt butter in 15 x 10-inch jellyroll pan. Spread coated nuts over butter.Step 2
Bake 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until nuts are light brown and all butter is absorbed. Cool and store in airtight container.
