Double Anise Biscotti

Ingredients
- 3 ¼cups flour
- 1tablespoon baking powder
- ¾teaspoon salt
- 1 ½cups sugar
- 10tablespoons butter (melted)
- 3large eggs
- 1tablespoon anise extract
- 2teaspoons ground aniseed
- 1cup slivered almond (lightly-toasted and hand-crushed)

Preheat to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.Step 3
Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt with a wire whisk .Step 4
Using an electric mixer or stand mixer with a paddle attachment, cream the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.Step 5
Add eggs in one at a time.Step 6
Mix in the anise extract and ground seeds.Step 7
Gradually add in flour mixture until well combined.Step 8
Add and hand-stir almonds.Step 9
Divide dough in half. Shape into logs or any desired shape and place on sheet.Step 10
Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes, and cool completely—about 25 minutes.Step 11
Slice logs diagonally. Discard parchment and place log slices cut-side down on the baking sheet . Bake for 12 minutes. Turn and bake for another 8 minutes or until just beginning to color.Step 12
