Spaghetti Pie With Ground Beef and Cheese

Ground beef, vegetables, and cheese make up the filling for this delicious spaghetti pie. And, the casserole is baked with a mozzarella cheese topping.

  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Step 2

    Grease a 9-inch square baking dish, or a large deep-dish pie plate.
  3. Step 3

    Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water following the package instructions; drain thoroughly and set aside.
  4. Step 4

    In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs with the Parmesan cheese. Add the cooked, drained spaghetti and toss to blend.

    Transfer the spaghetti mixture to the prepared baking dish. Press it over the bottom and up sides of pan to form a "crust."
  6. Step 6

    In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with onion and mushrooms; drain well. Stir the spaghetti sauce and corn into the beef mixture.
  7. Step 7

    Spoon the beef and sauce mixture into the spaghetti "crust." Top with bell pepper rings or strips and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. 
  8. Step 8

    Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the filling is hot and bubbly, and the cheese has melted and browned lightly.
