Raisin Sauce for Baked Ham
This raisin sauce is a nice combination of flavors and is the perfect sauce to serve with baked ham, a ham steak, or pork chops.

Ingredients
- ½cup brown sugar
- 2tablespoons cornstarch
- 1teaspoon dry mustard
- 1tablespoon vinegar (apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, or wine vinegar )
- 1cup raisins
- ¼teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 2tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 ½cups water
Instructions
- Step 1Gather the ingredients.
- Step 2In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, and dry mustard; whisk to blend the dry ingredients thoroughly.
- Step 3Place the pan over medium heat and gradually add the vinegar, raisins, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Add the water to the mixture, stirring constantly until all of the ingredients are well combined.
- Step 4Keep stirring until everything is thoroughly blended.
- Step 5Continue cooking the raisin sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it is thick, clear, and bubbly, for at least 10 minutes.
- Step 6Serve the raisin sauce warm, with sliced ham or other pork dishes, and enjoy.
