- 2cups sugar
- 4large eggs
- 2 ¼cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼teaspoons baking powder
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼cups whole milk
- ½cup unsalted butter
- 2teaspoons vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar , for dusting

Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 9-x 13-inch baking pan and set aside.Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.Step 4
Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, beating on low until smooth.Step 5
In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the milk and butter just to a boil.Step 6
Remove from the heat, then stir in the vanilla extract.Step 7
Gradually add the milk mixture to the batter, beating on low until just combined.Step 8
Pour into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.Step 9
