Port Wine Demi-Glace Sauce Recipe

This classic sauce is made by adding port wine to a basic demi-glace and is an excellent accompaniment for roasts and steaks.

Ingredients

• 1 pint of​ demi-glace
• 0.25 cup port wine
• 1 tablespoon butter

Steps

1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the demi-glace to a simmer, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes.​
2. Stir in the wine and swirl in the butter. Serve right away.
