Sourdough Starter Scallion Pancake
Use your sourdough starter discard to make this easy and delicious scallion pancake. All you need are five pantry ingredients.
- Serves: 1 person
- 2teaspoons neutral cooking oil
- ½cup sourdough starter
- 1tablespoon diced scallions
- ½teaspoon sesame seeds
- ¼teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Heat the oil in a small nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Step 3Add sourdough starter discard to the hot pan.
Step 4Sprinkle in scallions, sesame seeds , and 1/4 teaspoon salt into batter.
Step 5Let the pancake brown for 3 minutes and then flip and brown on the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 6Sprinkle with salt.
Step 7Serve with dipping sauce of your choice. (Or make a quick combo of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili crunch).
