Old-Fashioned Quaker Oats Meatloaf
Quaker Oats meatloaf is an old recipe that appeared on the box. It uses oatmeal instead of crackers or breadcrumbs making this meatloaf delicious.
- Serves: 8 persons
- 1pound ground chuck
- 1pound ground round
- ½cup onions (minced)
- 1clove garlic (minced)
- ⅔cup milk
- 1egg (beaten)
- ¾cup oatmeal
- 1tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½teaspoon salt
- 1teaspoon black pepper
- ¼cup ketchup
- 1tablespoon yellow mustard
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Step 3In a large bowl, mix the ground chuck, ground round, onions, garlic, milk, egg, oatmeal, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Step 4Press into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, then remove from the oven.
Step 5In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard and spread it evenly over the meatloaf.
Step 6Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 160 F.
Step 7Let the meatloaf rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Step 8Serve and enjoy.
