Tamarind Maple Whiskey Sour
Tamarind lends a rich flavor, with notes of raisin and dried fruit, to this longtime staple, complemented by the sweetness of the maple whiskey. Tamarind nectar concentrate can be found in the frozen section of most international markets. For a smoky twist, try using smoked maple bourbon whiskey, such as Knob Creek®. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a Luxardo® cherry.
- Serves: 1 person
- 2cups ice, divided
- 2fluid ounces maple whiskey (such as Crown Royal Maple®)
- 1fluid ounce tamarind nectar frozen concentrate (such as Goya®)
- 1fluid ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Step 1Combine 1 cup of ice, whiskey, tamarind concentrate, and lemon juice in a shaker. Cover and shake until the shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds.
Step 2Fill a rocks glasses with remaining ice and strain cocktail over. Serve immediately.
