Balsamic and Brown Sugar Glazed Beets
These fresh beets are glazed with a combination of brown sugar, balsamic vinegar and butter. It's a simple sweet and sour beets recipe.

Ingredients
- 7to 9 beets (peeled and quartered or sliced)
- 1 ½cups water
- ¾cup brown sugar (packed)
- ⅓cup balsamic vinegar
- 2tablespoons butter

Step 1
Combine beets with water, brown sugar, vinegar, and butter. Bring to a boil.Step 2
Reduce heat to medium and continue simmering, uncovered, for about 1 hour, or until beets are tender and most of the liquid has boiled away.
