Homemade Alfredo Sauce
This simple, easy Alfredo sauce is made with cream, butter, and cheese. It's decadent, creamy, and delicious tossed with freshly cooked pasta.

Ingredients
- 2cups heavy cream
- 1stick butter
- 1 ½cups parmesan cheese
- 2tablespoons fresh Italian parsley
- ¼teaspoon Kosher salt
- ¼teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Gather the ingredients.Step 2
In a large sauté pan, heat cream and butter over medium-low heat until it starts to simmer.Step 3
Lower heat and simmer gently for about 15 minutes or until sauce has reduced somewhat.Step 4
Remove pan from heat and cover.Step 5
Add cheese gradually, stirring the whole time, until it's melted and well combined. Adjust consistency with additional cream if necessary.Step 6
Stir in chopped parsley, if using.Step 7
Season to taste with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.Step 8
Toss with the hot cooked pasta of your choice and serve right away.
