Baked chicken with spice mix seasoning
Tuck into this baked chicken seasoned with a flavourful spice mix for an easy family dinner. Serve with potato wedges and your favourite green veg
- Serves: 4 persons
- 4chicken breasts (skinless, if you like)
- 5 ½tbsp light brown soft sugar
- 5 ½tsp paprika
- 1tsp dried thyme
- 1tsp dried oregano
- ¼tsp garlic granules
- ½tsp sea salt
- potato wedges and green veg, to serve (optional)
Step 1Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Arrange the chicken breasts (skin-side up, if not using skinless) in a baking tray or dish lined with baking parchment. Combine the sugar, spices, herbs, salt and ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper, then spoon a quarter of the spice mix over each chicken breast and rub it all over the meat.
Step 2Bake the chicken breasts for 25-30 mins until cooked through – the spice mix coating will darken and the sugar will caramelise. Serve the chicken with potato wedges and green veg, if you like.
