Simple Vegan Gravy
This is a great recipe for those vegans or vegetarians, or just those who want a delicious healthier gravy.

Ingredients
- 4cups water, divided
- 1cup cashews
- 2½ tablespoons cornstarch
- 2tablespoons soy sauce
- 2tablespoons brewers' yeast
- 2teaspoons onion powder
- 1teaspoon lemon juice
- 1teaspoon dried basil
- ½teaspoon garlic powder
- ½teaspoon salt
- 1pinch dried rosemary
Instructions
Step 1
Bring 2 1/2 cups water to a boil in a pot. Combine 1 1/4 cups water, cashews, cornstarch, soy sauce, brewers' yeast, onion powder, lemon juice, basil, garlic powder, salt, and rosemary in a blender and process until smooth. Pour mixture into the boiling water in the pot.Step 2
Use remaining 1/4 cup water to rinse out blender and add to mixture in the pot. Cook gravy until thickened, 5 to 7 minutes.
