Air fryer halloumi
Cooking halloumi in an air fryer instead of a grill or frying pan helps lower the fat content. Season with smoked paprika or mixed herbs, if you like, for an added burst of flavour
- Serves: 6 persons
- 225g halloumi, cut into 6cm x 1cm thick slices
- 1tsp olive oil
- 1tsp smoked paprika, mixed herbs, or other flavourings (optional)
Step 1Heat your air fryer on 200C for 2 mins. Carefully pat the halloumi dry using kitchen paper or a clean cloth, then brush or rub with oil. Season with salt and pepper and any flavourings, if using.
Step 2Put the halloumi in the air fryer basket and cook for 8 mins until beginning to brown. Flip over and cook for a further 2-5 mins until crisp and golden.
