Creamy Italian Zabaglione
Zabaglione is a simple and classic dessert similar to a custard or pudding. The French know it as sabayon, and you can serve it with cakes or cookies.

Ingredients
- 6egg yolks
- ⅔cup (120 g) sugar
- 18tablespoons of Marsala (this should come out to slightly more than a cup)

Gather the ingredients.Step 2
Beat the yolks and the sugar until the mixture is palest yellow, tending towards white.Step 3
Then beat in the Marsala and cook over a double boiler .Step 4
Do not let it reach a boil, but remove it from the fire as soon as it thickens.Step 5
When it has cooled to merely warm, you can, if you like, fold in an egg white beaten to very firm peaks.
