Chocolate Fudge Brownies

- 1 ¼cups butter (or margarine, softened)
- ¾cup cocoa
- 2cups sugar
- 2teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½cups flour
- Optional: 2 cups nuts (chopped)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
Step 3Melt together the 1 1/4 cups butter or margarine and add in the 3/4 cup of cocoa; mixing well to combine.
Step 4Once the butter or margarine is melted, transfer to a mixing bowl if needed, then stir in the 2 cups sugar and blend in the 4 eggs, one at a time. Between each egg, beat well to fully incorporate.
Step 5Once the eggs are all mixed in, add in the 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and stir to combine well.
Step 6Stir in the 1 1/2 cups of flour and the optional chopped nuts; mixing to fully combine well.
Step 7Bake in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
Step 8Let your homemade brownies cool on a rack for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 9Once your brownies are fully cooled, you can cut into 20 square pieces.
