Cinnamon Dessert Bread With Icing
Everyone will love cinnamon dessert bread. This bread is lightly spiced with cinnamon and smothered in a simple white vanilla icing.

Ingredients
- For the Bread:
- ½cup milk
- ¼cup water (warm)
- 1tablespoon butter (melted)
- 1tablespoon sugar
- 2teaspoon active dry yeast
- ½teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼teaspoon salt
- ⅓cup raisins
- 1 ½cups bread flour
- For the Icing:
- ¾cup powdered sugar
- 1tablespoon milk
- 1tablespoon butter (melted)
- ⅓teaspoon vanilla extract

Gather the ingredients.Step 2
In a medium bowl, stir together the milk, water, and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add sugar, yeast, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until dissolved. Add raisins, if desired.Step 3
Mix in the bread flour, a half cup at a time, to form the dough.Step 4
Turn the dough out onto a floured board and knead it for about 5 minutes. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour a tablespoon at a time.Step 5
Grease a medium bowl. Put the dough into the bowl and turn it over so that the dough is greased on the top . Cover and let it rise in warm place for about 45 minutes or until double in size.Step 6
Punch down the dough by making a fist with your hand and pushing it firmy into the center of the dough. Then fold the edges of the dough to the center, forming the deflated dough into a ball.Step 7
Turn out the dough onto floured board and knead it for about 3 minutes. Shape the dough into a loaf.Step 8
Grease a loaf pan. Put the loaf into the pan, cover with a clean cloth, and allow it to rise for about 30 minutes or until double in size. While bread is rising, preheat oven to 350 F.Step 9
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.Step 10
Remove the loaf from pan and let it cool to warm on a rack or clean cloth.Step 11
In a medium bowl, make the icing by mixing together the confectioners' sugar, milk, melted butter , and vanilla extract until smooth.Step 12
Spread the icing over the cooled bread.Step 13
