Kourambiethes are wonderful Greek cookies covered in powdered sugar. These cookies are favored by many and are great with coffee, tea, or by themselves!

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Step 2

    Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and brandy.
  3. Step 3

    Gradually only add enough flour to make a soft dough. Chill.
  4. Step 4

    Shape dough into crescents or 1 1/2 inch balls. (If using cloves, place one in each cookie before baking.)
  5. Step 5

    Place on ungreased sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. They won't be brown.
  6. Step 6

    Cool for 4 to 5 minutes and then sift powdered sugar over them.
