Lamb meatloaf offers a tasty alternative to the standard meatloaf made with ground beef. Onion, peppers, garlic, and seasonings add delicious flavor.

- 2pounds lean ground lamb
- ½pound ground beef
- 2large eggs
- 1cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1medium onion, diced
- 1green bell pepper, diced
- 3cloves garlic, chopped
- ¾teaspoon kosher salt
- 1teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½teaspoon ground cumin
- 1teaspoon dried basil
- ¼teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼cup fresh parsley, chopped
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a loaf pan.
Step 3In a large bowl, combine lamb, beef, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Mix well. (Hands work best.)
Step 4Add onion, green pepper, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, basil, and cinnamon. Mix well, making sure spices are thoroughly spread throughout mixture.
Step 5Transfer mixture into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until cooked through.
Step 6Remove from oven and let stand approximately 15 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh, chopped parsley.
