Tomato Pudding
This old-fashioned tomato pudding is made with crushed tomatoes, bread cubes, and other seasonings and ingredients.

Ingredients
- 2(28-ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1(6-ounce) can tomato paste
- 2teaspoons mustard (dry)
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1pinch baking soda
- 3cups bread (toasted, white, cubed)
- ½cup butter (melted)
- Optional: fresh parsley sprigs
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 F.Step 2
Grease a 3-quart baking dish.Step 3
In a bowl, combine tomatoes, sugar, paste, mustard, soda, and salt.Step 4
Place bread cubes in the baking dish; drizzle with melted butter.Step 5
Pour tomato mixture over bread.Step 6
Refrigerate up to 4 hours, if desired.Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.Step 8
Garnish with fresh parsley sprigs, if desired.
