Ingredients
- 150 gbutter
- ¼ tspsalt
- 150 gfull-cane sugar
- 1egg
- 1 ½ tspcinnamon
- ½ tspground cardamom
- ¼ tspground cloves
- 300 gwhite flour
- ½ tspbaking powder
Instructions
Step 1
Place the butter, salt and sugar in a bowl, mix using the whisk attachment on a mixer. Whisk in the egg and spices, continue to whisk until the mixture becomes lighter in colour. Combine the flour and baking powder, mix in, quickly combine to form a soft dough. Flatten the dough a little, cover and chill for approx. 1 hr.Step 2
Roll out the dough in batches between two sheets of baking paper to approx. 4 mm thick. Cut out snowflakes (approx. 6 cm in diameter), place on two baking trays lined with baking paper.Step 3
Approx. 6 mins. per tray in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove from the oven, leave the biscuits to cool on a rack.
