Versatile Creamy Mushroom Sauce
This creamy mushroom sauce can be served with chicken and poultry. It's made by adding sautéed mushrooms to a basic suprême sauce or allemande sauce.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 1tablespoon butter
- ½tablespoon lemon juice
- ½cup mushrooms (sliced)
- 2cups suprême Sauce
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat until it's frothy.
Step 3Stir in the lemon juice, then add the mushrooms and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
Step 4Stir in the allemande or suprême sauce. Bring to a simmer, cook for another 5 minutes and serve right away.
