Ingredients
- 1block firm or extra-firm tofu, well pressed
- 1cup vegetable broth
- ¼cup soy sauce (or use tamari to keep it gluten-free)
- 2tablespoons sesame oil
- 3cloves garlic (minced)
- 1tablespoon fresh ginger (minced)
- 1teaspoon sesame seeds
- ½teaspoon Chinese Five Spice powder

Prepare your tofu. Like most vegetarian and vegan tofu recipes, this one will taste best if you press the tofu first .Step 3
Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Slice your well-pressed tofu into 1/2-inch long strips (or you can cut them into another shape if you prefer). Lightly grease a baking pan and arrange the prepared tofu in a single layer in the pan.Step 4
In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour over the tofu slices. If you have time, you can also marinate the tofu slices in the soy sauce and Chinese five-spice mixture for a few hours or up to overnight.Step 5
Bake your tofu for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, then turn each individual tofu piece over, and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until liquid has been absorbed.Step 6
