Sour Cream and Cheese Hash Brown Casserole
This is a classic hash brown casserole, a favorite recipe shared by a visitor. Miz Chel's hash brown bake is made with sour cream and cheese.

Ingredients
- 1stick butter or margarine , melted, plus more for the baking dish
- 1(30-ounce) package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
- 1cup sour cream
- 1(10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1tablespoon instant minced onion, or about 1/4 cup of a finely chopped onion
- 2cups sharp cheddar cheese, or Colby cheese, shredded

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Butter a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns with the melted butter.Step 4
Add the sour cream, condensed soup, onion, and cheese to the potatoes. Mix well until all of the ingredients are well combined.Step 5
Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking pan.Step 6
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 1 hour.Step 7
