Cherry Puffy Pancakes Recipe
Grab a handful of cherries and make this puffy cherry pancake (a.k.a. Dutch baby) recipe. Make it even more of a treat by adding powdered sugar!
- Serves: 4 persons
- ¼pound cherries
- ⅓cup milk
- ⅓cup flour
- ¼teaspoon salt
- 2teaspoons sugar
- 1tablespoon butter
- Garnish: powdered sugar for sprinkling
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat the oven to 400 F. Pit the cherries , pulling them into large pieces as you do so.
Step 3In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
Step 4In another medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
Step 5Put the butter in a 10-inch frying pan and put it in the oven to melt. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Step 6Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and beat to combine. Add cherries.
Step 7Pour batter into the hot, buttered pan and bake for 20 minutes. Turn down oven temperature to 350 F and continue baking until pancake is puffed and well browned, about 15 minutes.
