    Gather the ingredients.

    Heat olive oil or butter in a large saucepan. 
  3. Step 3

    Add shallot and cook for 2 minutes, or until translucent. 
  4. Step 4

    Add wine, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. 
  5. Step 5

    Stir in mustard and remaining seasonings. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.

    As the sauce begins to reduce, add blue cheese and melt through. 
  7. Step 7

    Remove from heat and stir in pine nuts.
  8. Step 8

    Serve over grilled or roasted meat of your choice. Enjoy!
