Ingredients
- 2to 3 pounds chicken parts or whole chicken (cut up)
- 2tablespoons soy sauce
- 2tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2tablespoons honey
- 2tablespoons dry white wine
- 1tablespoon grated ginger root or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ⅛teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2tablespoons cornstarch
- 2tablespoons water

Pat the chicken dry.Step 2
Arrange the chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker.Step 3
Combine the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, wine, ginger, and pepper.Step 4
Pour the sauce over the chicken.Step 5
Cover and cook on low from 5 1/2 to 8 hours, or until the chicken is tender and the juices run clear.Step 6
Mix the cornstarch and water.Step 7
Remove the fully cooked chicken from the slow cooker and reserve.Step 8
Turn the heat up to high and add the cornstarch and water mixture.Step 9
Continue to cook the mixture until thickened.Step 10
When the mixture is thick, add the cooked chicken back to the slow cooker to heat through.
