Ingredients
- 75g salted butter, softened
- 5 ½tbsp tahini
- 75g caster sugar
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- ¼tsp ground cinnamon
- 4thick slices bread (we used sourdough)
- 50g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 2small bananas, sliced in half lengthways
- 2tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
Step 1
Mash together the butter and tahini in a bowl using a fork until combined. Mix in the sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Lightly toast the bread on one side under the grill, then spread the tahini mixture over the untoasted side.Step 2
Heat a frying pan over a low-medium heat and put the bread in, buttered side down. Toast for 3-5 mins, shuffling it around to ensure it doesn’t burn, until the sugar has caramelised.Step 3
Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl in short 30-second bursts in the microwave or set over a pan of just-boiled water, ensuring the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Top the toast with the sliced bananas, drizzle over the melted chocolate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
