Grilled Spicy Tuna Steaks

Ingredients
- 12-ounce tuna steaks
- ⅓cup olive oil
- ⅓cup lemon or lime juice
- ¼cup chopped cilantro leaves , divided
- 1to 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2to 3 small shallots , minced
- 1teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- 2teaspoons ground cumin
- ¼teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ¼teaspoon salt
Instructions
Step 1
Combine olive oil, lemon juice, 3 tablespoons of the cilantro, garlic, shallots, cayenne pepper, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.Step 2
Place tuna steaks in a large resealable bag or a glass baking dish. Pour marinade over top. Turn to coat and then refrigerate for 30 minutes.Step 3
Brush the cooking grate of your grill with oil and then preheat.Step 4
Place tuna steaks on grill over high heat. Grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until they reach the desired doneness.Step 5
Remove from grill and serve topping with the remaining cilantro
