Grilled Spicy Tuna Steaks
Get a quick and tasty recipe for grilled spicy tuna steaks marinated in a flavorful citrus and spice mixture.
- Serves: 6 persons
- 12-ounce tuna steaks
- ⅓cup olive oil
- ⅓cup lemon or lime juice
- ¼cup chopped cilantro leaves , divided
- 1to 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2to 3 small shallots , minced
- 1teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- 2teaspoons ground cumin
- ¼teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ¼teaspoon salt
Step 1Combine olive oil, lemon juice, 3 tablespoons of the cilantro, garlic, shallots, cayenne pepper, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Step 2Place tuna steaks in a large resealable bag or a glass baking dish. Pour marinade over top. Turn to coat and then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3Brush the cooking grate of your grill with oil and then preheat.
Step 4Place tuna steaks on grill over high heat. Grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until they reach the desired doneness.
Step 5Remove from grill and serve topping with the remaining cilantro
