Easy Caramelized Macadamia Nuts
Caramelized or candied macadamia nuts is one of the easiest recipes to make and delicious on their own or sprinkled on salads.
- Serves: 3 persons
- ½cup macadamia nuts (halved)
- ¼cup castor sugar (superfine sugar)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Heat a small, heavy-based saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar and macadamia nuts to the pan and stir.
Step 3Continue stirring gently until the sugar has melted and the macadamia nuts have caramelized.
Step 4Carefully transfer nuts onto waxed paper. Allow to cool.
Step 5Once cool, break into pieces. When completely cool, store in a tightly covered container.
